To the editor:

I read, with interest, your column "Notable Passing" in the Dec. 29 issue of the Westchester County Business Journal. While I understand you cannot list every person who passed during this year, I'd like to express my disappointment in your not listing Seymour "Sonny" Katz of White Plains.  Mr. Katz served as city marshal for the city of White Plains for 37 years.

Economically, we’re like the hypochondriac who this time really does have appendicitis. The appendicitis they can cure. The hypochondria? Ehh.

Cancer from a man’s perspective

Tell a man about a problem and he – or at least most men – will run to their computers and continue to plow through the work on their desk. But when cancer strikes, there is no way to simply “shut it out” and turn to pressing matters at work.
