Council of Westchester to back off giving
a board seat in 2009 to the head of Greenwich
Hospital in Connecticut.

read, with interest, your column "Notable
Passing" in the Dec. 29
issue of the Westchester County
Business Journal. While I understand
you cannot list every person who
passed during this year, I'd like
to express my disappointment in
your not listing Seymour "Sonny" Katz
of White Plains. Mr. Katz served
as city marshal for the city of
White Plains for 37 years.

the herald angels sing
The
holiday gift receiving season went swell
for Patriot, a 7-year-old German shepard
(named by the second grade class of the
Sacred Heart School in Hartsdale) as
well as for the rest of the Greenburgh
Police Department’s K-9 Unit. The Hartsdale
Pet Cemetery presented a $1,000 check
to the department’s K-9 unit, which was
established in 2003.
